Monterosso al Mare

A few minutes train ride is Monterosso al Mare.  It was a beachy town, and not much else that captured my attention.  We walked up the boardwalk, took photos and then checked out a few back streets and decided that was all there was to see.

This is a huge statue at the end of town.  It was built as part of a villa.  Neptune the Sea god.  He lost his arms, trident and seashell  in WW II and looks pretty weathered. I think they keep him around for us tourists.

I spotted these two ladies coming out of church.  They were deep in conversation.
This woman had just come from a bakery, headed home with a fresh loaf of bread.
